Oregon Wine Tasting

Join us for our upcoming tasting, A tour of Oregon Pinot Noir, led by Steph Maddox. Originally from the US, Steph moved to New Zealand in 2013 and is currently the cellar master at VinPro. In 2019, she began studying Oenology to pursue winemaking fulltime and has completed vintages in Oregon’s Willamette Valley at Elk Cove (2022) and Archery Summit (2023).

While in Oregon, Steph conducted her graduate research on on the impact of climate change events on the sensory characters of Pinot Noir in conjunction with Elk Cove and noted research climatologist, Dr Gregory Jones.

This tasting will feature seven wines from top Oregon producers including Brooks, Bergström, and Antica Terra. With Steph’s first-hand experience and in-depth knowledge of both the region and the evolving impact of climate events on Pinot Noir, this promises to be an engaging and informative tasting.

Cheese and crackers will accompany the tasting.
