Wine

Our wines, born of rugged land and patient hands, reveal layers of nuance, shaped by the season that formed them and the moment you meet them.

Shaped by land and light

Shaped by altitude, light, and an unrelenting landscape that is equal parts beauty and challenge, winegrowing in Central Otago demands respect and patience. Here, winemaking is less about conquering nature and more about learning to move with it, a dance between vine and soil.

Across the region, low-fertility, mineral-rich schist soils naturally encourage vines to send their roots deep in search of moisture and nutrients, producing fruit with purity and intensity. Even within small areas, soil variation creates striking diversity, reflected in wines that are distinctly site-driven.

Pinot Noir

At the heart of Central Otago’s story is Pinot Noir. Shaped by a continental climate, long sunshine hours and dramatic seasonal shifts, the wines are expressive, detailed and distinctly of place.

Other varieties

While Central Otago is best known for Pinot Noir, the region’s story does not begin and end there.

A mix of other varieties including Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris continue to shape the region’s broader identity.
