PURE POURS

What wines are shown?
The wine selection is curated to reflect the breadth of the region, including aromatic whites, Chardonnay, méthode traditionnelle, and of course, Pinot Noir. Presented side by side, the wines offer a clear view of styles, sites, and producers.

Which wineries will be there?
PURE POURS 2025 brought together 17 Central Otago wineries, representing a cross-section of the region’s producers:
Amisfield, Burn Cottage, Carrick, Chard Farm, Dicey, McArthur Ridge, Moko Hills, Mora, Nanny Goat Vineyard, Nockie’s Palette, Prophet’s Rock, Quartz Reef, Rippon, Rockburn, Te Kano, Valli, Wooing Tree.
The 2026 winery line up will be released shortly.
PURE POURS is our international tasting initiative, developed to present Central Otago wines directly to the Australian market.
Overview
In 2025, PURE POURS was held across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, bringing together 17 wineries and more than 80 wines. The tastings follow a walk-around format, allowing attendees to taste across multiple producers in one place and speak directly with winemakers and winery representatives.
Sessions were held in central city venues and run as ticketed tastings. The format was unstructured, with guests able to move freely, taste at their own pace, and engage directly with those behind the wines.
PURE POURS is set to return in 2026, with further details on upcoming programmes to be announced.
Audience
PURE POURS is designed for both trade and the public, with separate sessions for each.
Trade sessions are typically held earlier in the day and are designed for industry professionals, including buyers, sommeliers, media, and educators. These sessions allow for focused tasting and more in-depth conversation with producers.
Public sessions follow, offering a broader audience the opportunity to explore Central Otago wines in the same format. The structure remains consistent, with access to the full range of wines and direct interaction with wineries.
